Choosing the right size is the foundation of comfortable wear, and this is doubly true for barefoot shoes. To ensure your peerko shoes fit perfectly, start by accurately measuring your feet at home — it's simple and only takes a few minutes.
How to measure your foot at home — step by step
- Stand on a piece of paper on a hard, flat surface.
- Trace your foot — make sure to hold the pencil perfectly vertically. It is ideal if someone can help you with the tracing.
- Measure the length from the center of the heel to the furthest point.
- Repeat the same process for your other foot and base your size on the longer foot.
How to choose the right extra room for peerko barefoot shoes
Your foot moves inside the shoe while walking and expands when stepping down. Therefore, we recommend that the inner length of the shoe is at least 5 mm longer than your foot length. At peerko, we personally prefer an extra room of 7–10 mm — this gives the foot plenty of space and allows for a natural movement.
Planning to wear your own insoles? Keep this in mind when choosing the size of your peerko barefoot shoes and consider a slightly larger allowance, so the insole doesn't take up too much space and your foot still has plenty of room.
