How to care for your shoes
To ensure that our shoes serve you well for a long time and look great, it is essential to give them the proper care.
Leather Shoes
Leather is one of those materials that genuinely rewards care. A few simple habits can keep your shoes looking great and lasting years longer than you'd expect.
Step 1: Clean - Start with a good clean before anything else. If your shoes have been weatherproofed, this step is noticeably easier. For smooth leather, a damp cloth or soft sponge does the job well. Nubuck prefers dry cleaning of with a foam cleaner, using a specialist brush or cleaning rubber. Keep in mind that nubuck absorbs more and needs extra drying time. You'll find quality cleaning products for all leather types in our eshop. We have great experience e.g. with the Carbon Complete foam.

Step 2: Nourish - Leather needs moisture to stay supple and crack-free. Pick a conditioner or cream suited to your specific leather type, and apply it regularly — not just when the shoes start to look tired. Always follow the product instructions to avoid over-saturating the material. From our own experience, we highly recommend Leather Gel for smooth leather and Organic Cover for all leather types. To revive the colour of smooth leather, Waterstop Colors cream is an excellent choice.

Step 3: Weatherproof - A good weatherproofing spray is your shoes' best defence against water, mud, and everyday dirt. Apply it to clean, dry leather — and importantly, always weatherproof before the first wear and after every nourishing treatment. Our go-to recommendation is Carbon Pro.

Stick to these three steps and you will help your leather shoes to stay in great shape. You can find a carefully curated collection of high-quality cleaning and care products in our eshop for both smooth and coarse leather.
Vegan Shoes (Microfiber)
Caring for vegan shoes is very simple. Clean them with a damp cloth; the material does not require additional nourishment. If you decide to weatherproof them, choose products designed for non-leather materials, such as these.
Textile Shoes
Clean the shoes with water and mild soap (be careful, bile soap and other strong soaps can discolor!), using a cloth or sponge for the upper part and a brush for the sole. It´s recomended to use weatherproofing products before the first use and after cleaning, you can find a selection on our eshop.
Other Important Rules for All Shoes
- Do not wash shoes in a washing machine and do not dry them in a dryer.
- Shoes should not be soaked. Dry them stuffed with crumpled paper, never in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- We recommend loosening the laces when putting on and taking off shoes; otherwise, the eyelets may tear or the shoes may get damaged over time. For zippered shoes, zip down to the sole to prevent damage to the zipper. Also, avoid stepping on the heel caps.
- Do not cream nubuck, and be careful when using a special brush or rubber.
And above all, enjoy your shoes!
We wish you many comfortable and healthy steps in our footwear!
